After millions have been invested, the newly renovated Kurhaus in Thermalbad Wiesenbad in the Ore Mountains is once again open to visitors. It took five years to renovate the three-storey spa house, which was built in 1827 and is a listed building, according to the Ministry of Tourism. The Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs funded the construction project with 7.3 million euros. The funds came from the federal-state program for the improvement of regional economic structures.
The entire building envelope, the historic spa hall and the building services were renovated. In addition, the building is now barrier-free.
