Petra Köpping leads the Saxon SPD's state list for the state elections on September 1. At the state election conference in Frankenberg on Saturday, 96 percent of delegates voted for the Social Affairs Minister. In her speech, Köpping emphasized the cohesion of the people in Saxony. Köpping emphasized that the polarization of society is a major problem. At the same time, however, she was "totally positively flashed that there are so many demonstrations against the right, against right-wing extremists and the AfD in Germany". On Sunday, there will be demonstrations against the right and for democracy in numerous cities in Saxony. "Tomorrow is our day and anyone who doesn't have a good reason will be on the streets tomorrow," said Köpping. According to an SPD spokesperson, she herself is planning to demonstrate in Leipzig.
