Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Panter (SPD) wants to promote the state's strengths as a location for innovative companies at the East German Economic Forum (OWF). "For many years, Saxony has offered excellent conditions for forward-looking start-ups and a well-established SME sector - innovations that open up new markets worldwide are created here," said Panter ahead of his visit to the OWF (May 18 to 20) in Bad Saarow, Brandenburg.
Panter is to take part in a panel discussion on the question of how business growth can succeed in Germany. "The enormous potential of Saxon companies is particularly evident in high-tech sectors such as the semiconductor industry, medical technology and Industry 4.0," emphasized Panter. Even in economically difficult times, the Free State wants to support companies in their growth through targeted funding.
Industry 4.0 refers to the fourth industrial revolution - the comprehensive digitalization and networking of industrial production processes.
