People want to take to the streets against right-wing extremism again this weekend in numerous cities across Brandenburg. At the same time, there will be rallies to mark the second anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
On Saturday, demonstrations against right-wing extremism are planned in Brandenburg /Havel, Beelitz and Herzberg (Elster), as announced by the alliance Brandenburg zeigt Haltung on its website. An alliance in Müncheberg also wants to send a visible signal for democracy and peace. The initiative called: "Come with your heart & flashlight".
On Sunday, demonstrations will continue in Eberswalde, Wittenberge, Luckau and Ahrensfelde. In Potsdam, Fridays for Future is organizing a demonstration with lights and music at the Alter Markt under the motto "Together against the right".
In Frankfurt (Oder), there will be a rally on Saturday as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. The European University Viadrina is taking part. A public commemoration of the victims of the war is planned in Cottbus on Sunday.
