The children and youth commissioner of the state of Saxony-Anhalt has emphasized the importance of protection concepts against violence in youth sport. In the past, protection concepts were too often stigmatized as a flaw, Holger Paech emphasized at a symposium of sports youth organizations from Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. "It was said that if you need a protection concept, you must have a problem." Today, protection concepts are a seal of quality. Child protection is therefore a comprehensive part of the training of trainers.
