Technical problems forced a DHL aircraft to return: after several loops, the plane landed safely at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

A cargo plane belonging to logistics service provider DHL flew several loops over Saxony and finally returned to Leipzig/Halle Airport via Prague. The reason for this was a technical problem, according to a spokesperson for Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.

The cargo plane was on its way to Tel Aviv (Israel) when a technical defect was detected near Prague. The crew then decided to return to Leipzig/Halle, where the necessary infrastructure was available to rectify the problem. The aircraft landed there at around 6.30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The aircraft was an Airbus A300F4-600 wide-body freighter, which is regularly used for the company's cargo flights.
