A black SUV has caused a serious accident on the A4 near Hohenstein-Ernstthal (Zwickau district) - and then fled the scene. The driver suddenly switched from the left to the middle lane in the morning between the Wüstenbrand junction and the Rabensteiner Wald parking lot, according to the police.
Three people are injured
According to the report, another car was driving in the middle lane, the driver of which tried to swerve to the left to avoid a collision. The 61-year-old driver of a third car in the left-hand lane also swerved to the left - hitting the crash barrier and crashing into the second car.
Both vehicles skidded across the road, the second car overturned in the ditch. According to the police, the driver of the second car, whose age was not initially known, and his 58-year-old passenger were seriously injured. The 61-year-old driver of the third car was slightly injured. The police are investigating and are looking for witnesses. The accident occurred in the direction of Chemnitz/Dresden.
