A 23-year-old pedestrian has been seriously injured in an accident in the Pölbitz district of Zwickau. The man suddenly stepped onto the carriageway of Leipziger Straße at around midday, according to the police. A 51-year-old driver was driving in the direction of the town center and collided with the 23-year-old despite braking. The latter was thrown onto the windshield of the car and then taken to hospital with serious injuries.
