Baby and children's toys sold by the discounters Aldi Süd and Action have been recalled in several German states. As the manufacturer Vulcan Consulting, based in Dublin/Ireland, announced on the internet portal Lebensmittelwarnung.de, the filling of individual figures may contain traces of asbestos. If damaged, this could escape and pose a health risk.
Aldi Süd's products "Stretcherz Electro Squad" and "Stretcherz Skull Squad", each with four figures with these EAN numbers, are affected: 5050835011240, 5050835030340. Aldi Süd is calling on buyers to stop using the figures immediately and return them. The purchase price will be refunded, no proof of purchase is required for the return. The products have been sold in North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
Action is offering the "Stretch Squad" figures individually and in packs of four with these EAN numbers: 5014761014713, 5014761015802, 5014761015819, 5050837662419, 5014761016779, 5014761016786, 5014761016793, 5014761016809, 5014761016892, 5014761016908, 5014761016915, 5014761016922, 5014761016816, 5014761016823, 5014761016830, 5014761016847, 5014761016854, 5014761016861, 5014761016878, 5014761016885.
