An 88-year-old cyclist was hit by a car in Wurzen (Leipzig district) and fatally injured. As the police announced on Wednesday, the cyclist disregarded the right of way of the car of a 46-year-old on Monday afternoon, according to initial findings, when crossing the K8319. The collision caused the cyclist to fall. The 88-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. Due to the accident investigation, the county road was fully closed. The resulting property damage is estimated at around 3000 euros.
