A truck driver with alcohol in his blood has had a serious accident near Altmittweida. There are traffic restrictions due to the recovery work.

A lorry driver has been seriously injured in an accident on a state road near Altmittweida in the district of Central Saxony. According to the police, the 34-year-old was under the influence of alcohol. His articulated truck left the road, overturned and ended up lying on its roof across the road. A preliminary alcohol test showed a level of 1.7 per mille. The S200 has been fully closed in both directions since the accident. The recovery of the vehicle is expected to take until the evening.
