The explosive-laden drone at Leipzig/Halle Airport has not only alarmed politicians and security officials—the general public is also seriously concerned. According to a survey conducted by the polling firm YouGov on behalf of the German Press Agency, a majority of 63 percent of German citizens are concerned about this incident.
Only 9 percent of participants in the representative survey answered “not at all concerned” when asked whether—and if so, how much—the discovery of the drone concerned them. Twenty-two percent of those surveyed chose the response option “not very concerned.” Five percent of participants did not feel confident in forming an opinion on this question. YouGov surveyed 2,091 eligible voters between August 14 and last Monday.
