The City of Leipzig's Sustainable Development and Climate Protection Department is inviting Leipzig residents to take part in exciting excursions and lectures as part of the Saxon Energy Days 2025. Under the motto "New energies for Saxony", the focus during the campaign period from April 5 to 26 will be on shaping the energy transition together: "What will the energy of the future look like? What opportunities does the energy transition offer everyone? And how can we become active ourselves?"
"Our cross-departmental contribution to the Saxon Energy Days shows how diverse the city administration and Leipziger Stadtwerke are working on the topics of energy transition and climate protection and what opportunities this is creating for Leipzig," says Mayor of the Environment Heiko Rosenthal. "We want to bring the city's focus on renewable energies to life for the general public with our diverse program."
The Leipzig program invites you to take a look at the photovoltaic equipment on school roofs, listen to presentations on digitally addressing homeowners for refurbishment and the heat transition or take part in guided tours of Leipzig's municipal utilities. In order to demonstrate the benefits and encourage imitation, participants will receive a wide range of suggestions and information on solutions and plans for a successful local energy transition.
