Quarterback Immobilien AG, a major project developer from Leipzig, has decided to sell its entire residential portfolio. Around 2,800 rented apartments are changing hands, including 40 houses in Leipzig and 25 in Delitzsch. According to CEO Tarik Wolf, the new owner is Germany's largest real estate group, Vonovia SE, which is headquartered in Bochum.
Wolf emphasizes that not much will change for tenants, as Quarterback will continue to manage and operate the properties via its subsidiary Renta-Servicegesellschaft. Tenants will only have to use a new account number for transfers, which will be specified in the relevant letters. In addition to the account change, tenants will be sent a contact details form and a data protection declaration.
The sale is part of a new corporate strategy that focuses on Central Germany and Berlin/Brandenburg. Since 2024, Quarterback has completed around 18 major construction projects with a volume of 675 million euros. These changes have led to a strengthened balance sheet and secured liquidity.
