Those looking for an apartment in the eastern German states once again have more choice on major real estate platforms. This was the result of a survey conducted by Deutsche Presse-Agentur among the platforms Immoscout24, Kleinanzeigen and Immowelt. Last year, they had reported a decline in housing advertisements.
"The eastern German housing market is showing clear upward momentum - both for rental apartments and for residential property," says real estate expert Thomas Beyerlein from Biberach University of Applied Sciences, who analyzed the classifieds data. The supply is increasing significantly. "This creates new opportunities for home seekers and buyers."
