Fatal overtaking maneuver: Both drivers were seriously injured in a head-on crash between two cars on state road 194 near Freital (Saxon Switzerland - Eastern Ore Mountains) on Saturday evening. According to the Dresden police department on Sunday, a 23-year-old man had tried to overtake another car on the road between Tharandt and Freital and collided with an oncoming car. The 73-year-old driver also had to go to hospital. A helicopter was used in the rescue operation. The police estimated the damage at around 30,000 euros. The road was fully closed at this point for almost four hours.
