More than 1,000 hikers explored the region around Großenhain on various tours during the Saxon Hiking Day. Now the hiking day is moving on to the Vogtland region.

Reichenbach im Vogtland will become a mecca for hikers in Saxony in 2027. From June 25 to 27, the town will host the 16th Saxon Hiking Day, according to the Landeskuratorium Ländlicher Raum. It follows Großenhain (district of Meißen), this year's host. At the weekend, the town was all about nature, exercise and community, it said. More than 1,000 hikers took advantage of the offers to actively discover the region. More than 30 tours were offered on Saturday.
