Dynamo Dresden have passed SpVgg Greuther Fürth on to the bottom of the Bundesliga 2 table. In the basement duel at the start of the second half of the season, the Saxons won the direct clash against Fürth 2:0 (1:0). New winter signing Thomas Keller had put Dynamo ahead after 35 minutes. Jakob Lemmer increased the lead in front of 30,811 spectators with a powerful long-range shot shortly after the restart (49').
Both teams started cautiously. Dresden noticed that the four new players who had been loaned out during the winter break first had to get used to the Dynamo game. Fürth had the first chance through Noel Futkeu (7th), after which both teams neutralized each other in midfield. There were no goalscoring opportunities. Dynamo were only dangerous from set-pieces and then through the man that Fürth had clearly not taken sufficiently into account: Thomas Keller.
