Head coach Bennet Wiegert from SC Magdeburg wants to go into the East derby against the Füchse with a lot of positive energy. "We're looking forward to this game - no ifs, ands or buts. After the national team week, it's just good to have such an extremely valuable opponent, an extremely valuable game," said Wiegert ahead of the top game in the German Handball League this Saturday (4.05 p.m./Dyn and ARD). "The joy should be boundless," added the coach ahead of the clash between first and second place.
When the Champions League winners host the German champions from the capital, the best defense in the league will face the best attack. SCM superstar Gisli Kristjansson knows how important the game is with nine games to go and a six-point lead: "We need a top performance against the Foxes - and we want to deliver that. It will be tight, it will be competitive and we'll do everything we can to keep the two points here."
