Sean Flood is leaving the Basketball-Bundesliga team Syntainics MBC early and moving to Italy. The Weißenfels club announced this. The Irish national team player, who still had a contract through the end of November, is joining a second-division team where he will get more playing time. Flood initially came to Weißenfels in August as a practice player. When the team faced a shortage of players in the backcourt, he was offered a three-month contract. In seven appearances during the preseason, in the cup, and in the Bundesliga, the 30-year-old scored 44 points (6.3 per game). The combo guard had already been a training guest with the Wolves in the summer of 2022. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
