Ezechiel Banzuzi of RB Leipzig has suffered a fracture to his right metacarpal. As the Bundesliga club announced, the 20-year-old is also out for the Dutch U21 national team. The Dutch will face Israel in the European Championship qualifiers next Tuesday.
"The midfielder needs to rest first, the aim is to return to training after the international break - depending on the healing process," RB announced. However, an operation is not necessary.
Banzuzi moved to Leipzig this summer from Belgian club OH Leuven. The new signing has featured in all three competitive matches so far this season.
