RB Leipzig had to report another emergency involving a fan in the DFB Cup. "We have just been informed of an incident. A fan had to be resuscitated in the stadium before the match and is on his way to hospital," the Bundesliga club announced during the round of 16 match against 1. FC Magdeburg.
"Therefore, there is currently no support. Our thoughts are with the fan and his family!" the statement continued. An RB fan had already been resuscitated outside the stadium during Leipzig's 4-1 win at Energie Cottbus in the second round. He later died in hospital.
