Frederik Jäkel has had a difficult year in Braunschweig. Nevertheless, Eintracht has now signed him permanently from Leipzig.

Eintracht Braunschweig have signed central defender Frederik Jäkel on a permanent deal. The 25-year-old, who was only on loan from RB Leipzig last season, has terminated his contract with the first-division club and committed himself to the second-division club until June 30, 2028. Due to a serious knee injury, Jäkel only made one brief appearance in the Eintracht shirt last season.

"We know the quality Frederik brings to the table when he is healthy and fit," said Braunschweig's managing director Benjamin Kessel about the defender. "We will work with him very carefully and responsibly on his way back onto the pitch. It's a great opportunity for both sides."
