The RB Leipzig women's soccer team has announced its second new signing for the coming season. The 25-year-old Alieke Tuin strengthens the Saxon team. The Dutch defensive player joins from FC Twente and has signed a contract until 2029. She replaces long-serving captain Victoria Krug, who will leave the club at the end of the season after five years.
"Alieke brings pace, robustness and a very strong left foot - she can be deployed in several positions on her side, but is primarily intended to stabilize our defence. We want to benefit from her international experience in the Champions League and her successes with Twente," said Viola Odebrecht, Head of Women's and Girls' Football at RB.
Tuin has made 29 appearances so far this season, scoring five goals and setting up six assists. With Twente, she won the treble of championship, cup and Super Cup in 2025.
Before Tuin, RB had already signed Belgian goalkeeper Aude Waldbillig from RSC Anderlecht, also until 2029.
