Tom Zimmerschied is leaving third-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden and joining second-division club SV Elversberg with immediate effect. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer. Zimmerschied, who still had a contract in Dresden until June 30, 2025, approached us with the desire "to take the next step in his development this season and move to the Bundesliga 2", explained Dynamo Sport Managing Director Thomas Brendel.
The 25-year-old Zimmerschied joined the club from Halle FC in the summer of 2023 and has since played a total of 40 competitive matches. He has scored five goals and provided twelve assists. "We are aware of his qualities on the pitch and would therefore have liked to see him remain a part of our team. However, the transfer makes sporting sense for the player and makes economic sense for us as a club," said Brendel.
