Two weeks before the start of the 64th Bundesliga season, RB Leipzig will face its first top-class test of strength. On August 15, the team of RB coach Ole Werner will play FC Bayern Munich for the Telekom Cup (3:30 pm), as the club announced. The first main round of the DFB Cup is scheduled for a week later, followed by the national premier class on August 28.
Leipzig had already completed test matches against third-division clubs FC Ingolstadt on July 25 (2:00 p.m.) and SC Verl on August 1 (12:00 p.m.). From East Westphalia, the team will then travel to Saalfelden in Austria for a training camp until August 7.
