The state sports association has once again set a new membership record. As of January 1, 2024, 381,437 Brandenburgers were members of one of the state's 2,956 sports clubs, the LSB announced on Thursday. This is more than ever before in the more than 30-year history of the LSB.
In total, the clubs recorded an increase of 19,608 athletes compared to the previous year. There was also growth among the clubs. The sports club with the most members in the state is still SC Potsdam, which currently has 5,351 active members.
