Promotion coach Misha Kaufmann has extended his contract with Bundesliga handball club ThSV Eisenach ahead of schedule. As announced on Friday before the game against SC DHfK Leipzig, Kaufmann will remain in the Wartburg city until the summer of 2027. The 39-year-old Swiss player signed a contract until June 30, 2024 in October 2021. "inSüdthüringen.de" first reported on this on Friday evening. In addition to the head coach's contract, the contracts of sporting director Maik Nowak and manager René Witte were also extended on a long-term basis.
