The Thüringer HC women’s Bundesliga handball team has continued its strong start to the season. Coach Herbert Müller’s team defeated Frisch Auf Göppingen 37–32 (18–15) in front of a home crowd and took the top spot in the standings with 6–0 points. In front of 992 spectators, Jana Scheib emerged as the THC’s top scorer with seven goals. Although the Thuringian team got off to a slow start and didn’t score their first goal until nearly five minutes into the game, they took control of the match from then on with a fast-paced and versatile offensive game. By halftime, the THC had nine different scorers; only a few defensive lapses prevented them from building a larger lead. After the break, the hosts continued to dictate the pace of the game and quickly pulled ahead to 27:20 (42nd minute). Although their concentration waned slightly afterward, their comfortable victory was never in jeopardy. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
