Bundesliga handball club Thüringer HC says it has found the ideal candidate for the position of center back. Brazilian international Marcela Arounian will join the club next season. The 24-year-old, 1.83-meter-tall circle player with a right-handed shot is moving to Thuringia from French first-division club Saint-Amand Handball.
"The most sought-after profile of a pivot is generally known: tall, powerful in attack and a good defender in the interior block. Marcela fulfills all of these qualities and she immediately caught my eye when I watched last year's World Cup. Since we have insider information in our own team and it was very positive, it was very obvious to bring her into our team," said THC coach Herbert Müller about the new signing.
