The Thüringer HC women’s handball team continues to boast an undefeated record in the Bundesliga. Coach Herbert Müller’s team won 35–33 (20–15) at TuS Metzingen on Saturday evening in front of 1,152 spectators. In their fourth consecutive victory, Levke Kretschmann, Jana Scheib, and Sabrina Tröster were the THC’s top scorers with six goals each. Both teams set a fast pace from the start and initially engaged in an open back-and-forth battle. After ten minutes, the score was already 7–7. Starting in the middle of the first half, the Thuringian team was more successful in forcing Metzingen into positional attacks and more difficult shots. By halftime, the visitors had pulled ahead by five goals. After the break, they lost some of their defensive stability but continued to finish with high efficiency. The THC had the game under control until the score reached 31:26 (46th minute), but then allowed the home team back into the game with a string of easy mistakes on offense. As a result, Metzingen narrowed the gap to 32:33 with two minutes remaining. However, the Thuringian team kept their composure and ultimately secured a well-deserved victory.
