ThSV Eisenach has signed handball player Elias Scholtes from Bundesliga rival Bergischer HC. The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Wartburg-based club, ThSV announced. The 1.90-meter-tall left-hander is the second new addition to the Thuringian team for the upcoming season. Scholtes is already familiar with coach Sebastian Hinze. Before moving to Bergisch, he worked with him for several months. He also knows Stephan Seitz, who has been with Eisenach since the summer of 2025. Both were part of the German junior national team that won the World Championship.
