The ThSV Eisenach handball team remains winless on the road this Bundesliga season. Coach Sebastian Hinze’s team lost to HC Erlangen 19–28 (11–14). David Móré was ThSV’s top scorer with four goals; the team now stands at 3:9 points. Eisenach initially struggled to get into the game. Their offense was too static, and they fell behind 3:7 by the middle of the first half. After that, the visitors picked up the pace significantly and closed the gap again, before a slump shortly before halftime led to a deficit at the break. Eisenach came out of the locker room with a lot of energy and tied the score at 16:16 (38th minute). Subsequently, numerous one-on-one battles and interruptions disrupted the flow of the game. For the Thuringians, backcourt player Jannis Schneibel made his comeback midway through the second half after nearly two years on the injured list, but he was unable to provide his team with the necessary stability.
