Erzgebirge Aue has little chance of staying in the 3rd soccer league. Eight games are still to be played. The gap to a non-relegation place could be double digits after the matchday.

FC Erzgebirge Aue suffered their next defeat in the relegation battle in the 3rd soccer league and now have little chance of staying up. The Saxons lost 2:1 (1:0) at SV Waldhof Mannheim and must continue to wait for their first win since December.

Marvin Stefaniak (44th minute) had put the visitors ahead and given the Aue fans hope again. Lovis Bierschenk (50th) and Terrence Boyd (90th) turned the game in Mannheim's favour. It was not clear from the TV footage whether the ball was completely behind the goal line when the winning goal was scored. There is no video evidence in the 3rd division.
