RB Leipzig started the training week without international Ridle Baku. The full-back sat out on Tuesday, as did Brajan Gruda, who is suffering from adductor problems. At least Baku is expected to rejoin the team soon and should be available against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky).
For Baku, the last six games of the season are also about recommending himself for participation in the World Cup. The eight-time international was not considered by national coach Julian Nagelsmann for the recent international matches in Switzerland and against Ghana. Joshua Kimmich is set at right back in the DFB squad, with Baku, his Leipzig team-mate Benjamin Henrichs and Stuttgart's Josha Vagnoman vying for a place as a substitute.
