Bundesliga club RB Leipzig has a new striker. The Brazilian Rômulo replaces Benjamin Sesko, who has moved to Manchester United, at the Saxons. The 23-year-old attacker has signed a contract until 2030. According to unconfirmed reports, RB is transferring around €20 million plus bonuses to Turkish first division club Göztepe Izmir.
"Rômulo has a strong physique, clean technique and a keen eye for goal. He can be used flexibly in attack - both as a classic nine and in more variable roles," said RB sporting director Marcel Schäfer. "We were particularly impressed by how quickly he adapted to different leagues and playing systems in Brazil and Turkey. We are convinced that he will give our game new impetus and make our attacking profile even more versatile."
