Fatma Sakar's contract with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig has been terminated. This was announced by RB on Saturday ahead of the match against 1. FC Köln. The 24-year-old full-back played 33 games for the Leipzig women's team and celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga in 2023. "The promotion in the summer of 2023 was my personal highlight. I wish the team every success for the rest of the season," said Sakar. Leipzig, who have been winless since the end of September 2023, are currently playing against relegation.
