Following numerous departures, RB is bolstering its roster for next season. A defender with a degree in criminology is joining from the Netherlands.

RB Leipzig has signed Linde Veefkind. The 24-year-old Dutch player is moving to Saxony from Belgian women’s soccer champions OH Leuven. The center back, who also holds a degree in criminology, signed a contract through June 30, 2029.

Veefkind played in Leuven for five years, winning the league title in each of the past two seasons and also appearing in the Champions League. In April, Veefkind received her first call-up to the Dutch national team but has yet to make an appearance.

“Linde is an aggressive and physically strong center back whose strengths in build-up play fit perfectly with our playing philosophy. Her excellent heading ability and experience should give our team added confidence," said Viola Odebrecht, Head of Women's and Girls' Soccer at RB.
