Leipzig talent Hugo Novoa moves on to his next loan station. After a half-year in the Netherlands that did not go as planned, Spain is his next destination.

RB Leipzig is loaning its Spanish talent Hugo Novoa to his home country. The U21 international will move to FC Villarreal until the summer. The Saxons made the announcement on Tuesday. The LaLiga club also has an option to buy the attacking player.

Leipzig had previously broken off Novoa's loan to Dutch first division club FC Utrecht for the deal. The 21-year-old had only made five appearances there and had been out injured since December.

Novoa joined Leipzig's U17s in 2019 and had worked his way up to the professional ranks. He has made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga so far, but has yet to make a lasting impact.
