Youth teams from Aue and Zwickau face each other on the pitch. There is trouble in the stands and the match is abandoned. Now the association has passed judgment.

After an attack during a youth match, the sports court of the Saxon Football Association (SFV) scored the abandoned derby between the U16s of Erzgebirge Aue and the U17s of FSV Zwickau 2:0 in favor of the visitors. Aue was sentenced to pay a fine of 2,000 euros. The club has already accepted the verdict, the Erzgebirger announced on their homepage. The club intends to pass on the fine to the perpetrators once their personal details have been established.

The association confirmed that Aue had exhausted all organizational means to ensure order and safety in the run-up to the match. However, as the abandonment of the match was caused by an attack by suspected "supporters of the home club", the hosts are responsible. The investigation into the incidents is still ongoing.

At least 30 people wearing masks

The derby of the B-juniors had to be called off after spectators rioted. According to the police, at least 30 people, most of them wearing black and purple balaclavas, broke into the Zwickau fans' area. Three 15-year-olds and a 19-year-old were injured and fan paraphernalia was stolen. One injured person had to be taken to hospital. The attackers fled into a forest.

The police reportedly arrested a 27-year-old man. He is suspected of being involved in the violent attack, they said. He is being investigated for breach of the peace. 40 police officers were deployed just over a week ago.
