RB Leipzig will face SV Sandhausen in the first round of the DFB Cup. This was the result of the draw for the first main round at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. A more than solvable task for the cup winners of 2022 and 2023, as Sandhausen have just been relegated from the 3rd division. RB already defeated SVS 4:0 in the first round in 2021.
"With SV Sandhausen, we are facing an ambitious regional league team that will certainly not make the task easy for us. Nevertheless, we have a clear ambition to win there and advance to the second round," said RB sporting director Marcel Schäfer.
