The loan of the defender was not as successful as hoped. A new club is now being sought for him.

Jonathan Norbye is leaving second-division soccer club Arminia Bielefeld early and returning to his home club RB Leipzig. As the Bundesliga club announced, the loan contract, which was originally fixed until the end of the season, has been terminated. The defender made eight appearances for Arminia's second team in the first half of the season, but did not play for the professional team.

Both the 18-year-old Norwegian and RB are now looking into another loan deal for the second half of the season to give the defender more playing experience at a high level. He still has a professional contract with Leipzig until 2028.
