FSV Mainz 05 will not comment on Benedict Hollerbach's potentially serious injury until Sunday after a thorough examination. "I had a conversation with him. He's actually taking it in his stride," said coach Urs Fischer. "I can't say exactly what he has. That will be clarified by our doctors tomorrow. So I don't want to speculate right now."
Hollerbach was injured in the eleventh minute of the 2:1 (1:1) draw at RB Leipzig without any input from the opponent. The striker slumped down, grabbed his lower right leg and screamed in pain. The 24-year-old, who joined from Union Berlin in the summer, was taken off the pitch after minutes of treatment.
