Football international David Raum has been the target of fierce hostility from a user on social media. The 27-year-old captain of RB Leipzig posted hate messages on his Instagram story which, among other things, took aim at the fact that he is under contract with the Saxons. "Get well soon," the left-back commented on a screenshot of the derogatory content.
Raum, who is followed by over 220,000 users on Instagram, was in national coach Julian Nagelsmann's starting XI for the World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg (4:0) and Northern Ireland (1:0). He scored the 1-0 goal against Luxembourg with a spectacular free-kick, and the RB professional played in all six games in the Bundesliga.
