RB Leipzig face third-division relegated Sandhausen in the cup on Saturday. Dynamo Dresden will host Mainz on a Monday. 1. FC Magdeburg is the first team to start.

RB Leipzig must play SV Sandhausen on a Saturday in the first round of the DFB Cup. This was announced by the DFB. Kick-off on August 16 is at 3:30 pm.
