Captain Stefan Kutschke received a warm welcome from the supporters of his team Dynamo Dresden following the death threats. According to the club, Kutschke was massively threatened in the run-up to the third division match. In an anonymous letter, the 35-year-old and his family were "extremely hostile and also confronted with warnings including murder", the club announced last Friday. The club has filed a complaint with the police. The club also pointed out that the team captain had been facing "significant hostility" for some time, particularly on social media. This is in clear contrast to the "elemental force of the sports community in cohesion" anchored in the mission statement.
