The SV Union women's handball team celebrated their 25th win in their 26th game in the second division and can no longer be displaced from the top spot. Whether the club will be promoted depends on the license decision.

The SV Union Halle-Neustadt women's handball team can no longer be denied the championship in the second Bundesliga. Coach Ines Seidler's charges defeated TuS Lintfort 38:23 (20:9) in front of 923 spectators on Saturday and are now nine points ahead of their closest rivals HC Leipzig with four games to go. However, they do not want to celebrate promotion to the Bundesliga just yet. According to a press release from the club, they will wait for the licensing decision of the Women's Handball Bundesliga.
