Outfitter Adidas presented the two jerseys of the DFB team for the European Championship from June 14 to July 14 on Thursday. In addition to the classic white home jersey, the away jersey features a pink and purple color gradient. The new jerseys will be worn in the first international matches of the European Championship year on March 23 in France and three days later against the Netherlands. The away jersey is intended to represent "the new generation of German soccer fans and the diversity of the country".
The new colors remind Rose of an ex-national player. "At some point, Tim Wiese started wearing it and then there was also a team that played in pink," said the 47-year-old. More than 15 years ago, Wiese preferred a pink jersey in goal for Werder Bremen. Later, Hamburger SV played with jerseys in the color "shock pink".
