Dynamo Dresden won the prestigious Elb-Clásico and dragged 1. FC Magdeburg back into the fight to stay in the league. In the 2:1 (2:1) victory, the Saxons gained revenge for the 1:2 defeat in the first half of the season. Mateusz Zukowski had put the hosts ahead after 29 minutes in front of 27,815 spectators. Kofi Amoako (34) with his first Dynamo goal and Thomas Keller (45.+3) turned the game around before the break.
Dresden, who wore a special black shirt to mark the 75th birthday of club legend Hans-Jürgen "Dixie" Dörner, who died in 2022, started very offensively and had the first good opportunity through Jakob Lemmer (5).
