RB Leipzig are on the verge of signing a Dutch junior international, according to Sky and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. According to the report, the Saxon Bundesliga club led by sporting director Marcel Schäfer has reached a verbal agreement with both 20-year-old Ezechiel Banzuzi himself and his current employer OH Leuven.
According to Sky, the transfer is not yet finalized, but Leipzig are in the best position in the negotiations. The central midfielder is expected to cost 16 million euros. Banzuzi's contract with his current Belgian club is valid until June 30, 2026. He moved from his youth club NAC Breda to Leuven in the summer of 2023.
